Rolling nut type engines ( nut on the outside of the belt casing ) this simply sits against the clutch bell so when fitting thr side case on, and fastening the outer nut it doesnt crush the side case bearing! And keeps the clutch bell in place.
Some 4 stroke 125-300 used these ( if your clutch bell has it welded in you dont need it )
